This page has not been updated in quite some time -- more than 18 months. Geez. Rest assured, K4 Media is still building web site. The things that really marked 2007 was the emergence of the content management system (at least here in Cambodia, among our small client base). In past years, this conversation seldom if ever came up when talking to clients. In 2007, every conversation touched on this, with joomla the clear leader, at least in terms of name recognition. Along with the power of CMS, clients are also demanding more functionality in other areas too: photo galleries, blogs, forums, comments sections, etc. Open source to the rescue.Tuesday January 1st, 2007)

Over the last few months, The Wires has become a monthly staple in the K4 studio. The web site for Cafe Fresco has made it through beta and launched. Work has started on a collaborative project with Studio Terra in Bangkok, where K4 Media will lead backend development, as well as intranet development for Indochina Hotels. Print collateral is in the works for SME Cambodia. Monday May 8th, 2006)

A new site for Mobitel Cellcard went live in November. Since then, a fair bit of work has been devoted to The Wires, the monthly newsletter for the FCC. Cambodia Expeditions is getting a redesign. Hug Me! Dolls has made some ammends. Angkor Dirt Bike Tours got some suckerfish drop down menus for xmas.(Wednesday February 19th, 2006)

The FCC Angkor Hotel has just gone through some behind-the-scenes search engine opimization, hence the link (nudge nudge, wink wink). The FCC Cambodia recently has also gone through some fairly major backend application development in preperation for a site redesign and relaunch, scheduled for early September. EU Project Pages updates are gathering steam (and are being developed here, if you're interested).(Friday June 24th, 2005)

HAPPY (CHINESE) NEW YEAR. Cambodia is a great place for holidays. There are so many! Meanwhile, back in the production department — where there are no holidays — efforts are currently focused on developing more back-end systems and a Visaya Spa web site for the FCC, and the new Telesurf web site for Mobitel. In the past couple of months, JohnVink.com has come to a finish, and we've even sneaked in a few smaller projects: Cambodia Expeditions and Galeria Rug. Things on the back burner include updates for the EU, a database for the MoC and a site for Hug Me! Dolls.(Tuesday February 15th, 2005)

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!!!!!!!!
from K4 Media.(Wednesday December 22nd, 2004)

It's been a few months since K4 Media has launched a web site, but there's a few which are currently under production and will roll out in early 2005: John Vink, TeleSURF, Ministry of Commerce Draftlaw database. Maybe, but not necessarily, in that order.(Wednesday December 22nd, 2004)

Efforts are currently focused on Mr John Vink's site and the Draft Law Database for the Ministry of Commerce. We have eaten lots and lots of tacos, but still not created one rough draft for the Cantina. We are not sure whose at fault. It turns out that the Telesurf site is going to need a redesign, and K4 is going to do it.(Saturday October 10th, 2004)

The FCC Cambodia has just soft launched the web site for their photo competition, Resolution. Initial interest and response has been encouraging. The registration process is currently in private beta testing and will roll out August 1st, so check back. All entries in the competition will be displayed online in an exhibition gallery to launch August 20th. The EU Cambodia has just done a modest redisign to their front door. K4 Media is doing a little multimedia development with Paul Stewart at Mouth to Source. A web site for Rubies is in beta and should roll out quite soon. Will work for Margaritas! HS at the Cantina has hired K4 Media to build their web presence.(Sunday July 25th, 2004)

The FCC Online Photo Competition project is moving along with about 50% of the backend design done. Two judges have been confirmed: Andy Eames from AP and John McDermott. Mak Remissa, probably Cambodia's most well-know photographer, working through PhotoVoice, is also taking part in much of the judging preparation. Still others are yet to be confirmed. The FCC is also preparing for this year's FCC Open Golf Tournament, and, hush-hush, Film Festival, details to follow. Local PR agency Spark is taking the lead, so props to the ladies, Sam and Tahli. The Veiyo Tonle site has just entered beta and will officially launch in the next few days. Stay tuned. The FCC has announced its first ever photography competition, open to all aspiring photographers. The names of judges being thrown around are Tim Page, Andy Eames and Al Rockoff. Details and confirmations soon. (Monday May 17th, 2004)

Design and site development is just hitting full steam for the Veiyo Tonle site. Leafy, cool and green. Content is still the big challenge. The Peace Art Project Cambodia stuff is still smoldering also and, almost predictably, they have turned in some absolutely fabulous photography from guys like Andy Eames and Tim Page, as well as some very nice stuff from up-and-coming students at Griffith University in Australia. They have decided on a logo, too. (Sunday May 9th, 2004)

A few projects are just getting kicked off at the moment. The PAPC web site is in the initial development stages. PAPC does some very cool work regarding weapons reduction and we are extremely excited to be involved in this project. Also, the Veiyo Tonle site is in development, with the current focus on content and content creation. (Friday April 9th, 2004)

Much is happening at the K4 workshop. First, Veiyo Tonle Restaurant needed a logo and a web site, and, impressed with our ideas, hired K4 Media. The FCC, in their never-ending quest for excellence, is doing some further backend development at fcccambodia.com. And here in-house we are working on a new column to be published every Monday covering the latest and greatest in Internet development. Following in the tradition of Calpundit, Rude Pundit and Instapundit, we are calling the new column Web Pundit. This week's launch takes a look at the web animation package quietly turning the web on its head, Flash. (Sunday March 14th, 2004)

While overall strategy is still in development, Cambodia Expeditions has unveiled its new logo (pictured right). The new logo instantly identifies and explains what the company does: truck, motorcycle and boat tours in Cambodia. A web site and clothing line are also currently in the works. The web site is slated to launch in February 2004.
